As the indoor season has come to a close and we move back outside, the athletes have been busy on social media too, so here’s a look at what some of them have been up to.
Mondo-themed April Fools
This past week we, of course, had the ever-dreaded April Fool’s Day return and amongst the thousands of tricks, this may have been our favourite.
The Mondo Classic social media accounts shared that a statue of Mondo Duplantis had been put up in front of the cathedral in Uppsala, Sweden.
It was unfortunately a prank, but maybe one day it will become true!
Behind the scenes with Hodgkinson
Keely Hodgkinson took us behind the scenes with her during the world indoor championships via her vlog on YouTube.
The 24-year-old gave us an insight into what a race week may look like for her at a championship, including both the fun and stressful moments.
Fabbri’s secret is… meditation
Leonardo Fabbri revealed that he meditates before each throw to “quiet the ‘boiling pot’” in his head so he can be light mentally.
He talks about how he believes explosive power starts with a calm mind and that balancing that is essential to performing well.

Ceh opens season
Kristjan Ceh opened his season in Ramona, USA, ahead of the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze event taking place later this month.
He came just shy of his PB, with a throw of 72.26m on his first attempt, just 10cm shy of his Slovenian national record.
Ceh also threw 72.06m on his second attempt and was the first man this year to break the 70m mark.
Bol’s wax figure
Femke Broeders Bol revealed that she has her own wax figure in Madame Tussauds in Amsterdam.
This may be one of our favourite wax figures we’ve ever seen, two Femke’s – imagine the relay performance they could put out!
Neugebauer visits a different type of track
The world champion, Leo Neugebauer, attended his first MotoGP race when the series went to the Circuit of Americas in Texas.
Last year he also went to the same track for the F1 Grand Prix in October as a VIP, where he even met Nico Hulkenberg.
Awards season for Kambundji
Ditaji Kambundji was crowned Swiss Sportswoman of the Year for 2025 after winning gold at the Tokyo world championships.
She was joined by one of her sisters, Mujinga, to celebrate her success in a very glamorous looking evening.
Guillemot joins the French Army
The 2025 European indoor 1500m champion, Agathe Guillemot, revealed that she is joining the Joinville Battalion, a section of the French Defensive Military for elite athletes.
She detailed the moments that meant most to her on her journey to joining, and the honour it is for her to join the ‘family’.
Perez at the football
The four-time world champion and Olympic champion, Maria Perez, was spotted at a women’s La Liga game.
Perez will also be looking to take her first gold since 2018 at a European Athletics Championships when it goes to Birmingham in summer.
