The European Athletics Council decided on Tallinn as the host city for the 2015 European Athletics U23 Championships at its meeting in Berlin in May 2013.
The sole bidder presented its candidature on the Saturday morning at the 137th European Athletics Council meeting in Berlin.
European Athletics President Hansjörg Wirz said, “Estonia has shown itself as being able to organise top-level European Athletics events before, as we saw with the excellent European Athletics Junior Championships in 2011, while they will also host the 2013 European Athletics Convention in October this year. We have been assured by the presentation made today that this important event in 2015 will be organised to the high level that we have come to expect.” 
It will be the 10th edition of the event and the first time it will be held in Estonia.
