  • Watch LIVE! Azu v Thompson in men's 60m and more from Stockholm

Watch live on the European Athletics website from 18:00 CET on Thursday (22) as world indoor and European indoor 60m champion Jeremiah Azu goes head-to-head with Olympic and world 100m silver medallist Kishane Thompson.

The mouthwatering men’s 60m clash is one of the headline events at the inaugural BAUHAUS Galan Indoor in Stockholm, the new baby sister of the Diamond League meeting that takes place every summer in the Swedish capital.

British sprinter Azu enjoyed a brilliant indoor campaign last year, taking 60m gold at the Apeldoorn 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships before adding the global title in Nanjing two weeks later. He will be making his first outing of the season.

Thompson, the 2025 world leader over 100m with 9.75, will be making only his second-ever appearance over 60m outside of his native Jamaica.

Also among the entries is Italy’s Samuele Ceccarelli, the 60m champion at the Istanbul 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships.

The women’s 60m features twins Tina and Tia Clayton, both members of Jamaica’s women’s 4x100m relay team that won world silver last year in Tokyo. Tina Clayton also claimed individual silver in the 100m.

Kramer and Moe Berg set for Nordic battle

In the distance races, an intriguing Nordic duel is lined up between Andreas Kramer and Håkon Moe Berg. Sweden’s Kramer won 800m silver at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow.

Moe Berg has been billed as the heir to Jakob Ingebrigtsen in Norwegian distance running, and he claimed a 1500m/3000m double at the Tampere 2025 European Athletics U20 Championships. The duo will line up in the men’s 1500m.

The women’s 1500m features Ethiopian Birke Haylom, the U20 indoor world record holder.

World medallist Thomas-Dodd takes on top Swedes

In the field events, the women’s shot put looks an exciting prospect, with a strong Swedish trio facing a world medallist.

Home hopes will be led by national outdoor record holder Fanny Roos, who finished fifth at last year’s World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, national indoor record holder Axelina Johansson, and Swedish discus record holder Vanessa Kamga, who placed fourth in her specialist event in Tokyo.

The international challenge will be led by Jamaica’s Danniel Thomas-Dodd, a world silver medallist both indoors and outdoors.

Other notable Swedes due to compete include former European U20 champions Maja Askag and Melwyn Lycke Holm in the women’s long jump and men’s high jump respectively and European 400m hurdles bronze medallist Carl Bengström in the 400m flat.
