Seasoned internationals and exciting prospects in the high jump will descend on the UdinJump Development meeting in the northern Italian city of Udine on Wednesday (4).
The World Athletics Indoor Tour Bronze meeting will be streamed live on the European Athletics website at 17:55 (CET).
The men’s competition will feature Ukraine’s Vladyslav Lavskyy, who won silver at the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships behind local hero Gianmarco Tamberi.
The Italian icon will also be in attandance, but in a spectating capacity. Instead, Lavskyy will have to contend with four-time European finallist and 2025 Udine winner Tihomir Ivanov of Bulgaria, four-time South American champion Thiago Moura of Brazil and France’s effervescent European U20 champion Elijah Pasquier.
Last year's European U23 bronze medallist and 2023 European U20 chasmpion Melwyn Lycke Holm of Sweden and evergreen 2007 world champion Donald Thomas of the Bahamas will bring further gloss to a quality field.
Batori set for senior step up
The entries for the women’s competition are led by two-time USA national champion Charity Hufnagel.
Another name to watch is the precocious Hungarian Lillian Batori, winner of the European U18 and European U20 titles in consecutive summers. Italian champion Idea Peroni will lead the home challenge.
