The Copenhagen Athletics Games returns on Monday (22) with many Danish stars set to compete at the newly renovated Østerbro Stadium, live on European Athletics’ YouTube from 16:10 CET.
Home hero, Katrine Koch Jacobsen will look to impress in the women’s hammer after throwing a national record in March of 75.52m.
However, she’ll come up against the reigning European champion, Sara Fantini of Italy, who threw a season’s best of 74.01m earlier this month.
On the track world silver medallist over 5000m, Isaac Kimeli, will race in the mile which will be the Belgian’s first time racing that distance since 2017.

Hungary’s rising star Anna Toth will be looking to cause an upset in the women’s 100m hurdles by taking the win ahead of Denmark’s top three hurdlers of all-time of Danish record holder Ida Beiter Bomme, Mette Kammer and Annika Haldbo.
They will also be joined by Norway’s Martine Hjornevik and Elea Bock who have set PB’s of 12.79 and 12.96 respectively this year.
Another Danish record holder in Janne Nielsen will look to extend her seasons best in the triple jump having measure 13.70m earlier this year.
Danish 17-year-old, Alma Borregaard Ravn, will be racing in the women’s 200m having already achieved the European U18 standard to be able to compete in Rieti next month.

Talea Prepens, the former world U18 and European U23 relay champion, will also compete in the 200m after running 23.16 in May following her bronze medal winning performance in the two-woman bobsleigh at the European Championships in January.
But she will come up against the former European U20 champion and 2025 U23 bronze medallist over 200m, Nora Lindahl, who ran 22.61 (+2.9m/s) earlier this month.
In the men’s 400m Gustav Lundholm Nielsen will look to chase after his PB of 45.41 set in 2024 to also lower his Danish record.
The women’s 1500m will see Annemarie Nissen, Danish 800m record holder, take to the track after setting a new PB over the longer distance of 4:10.54 earlier this year.
Arthur Petersen has travelled back home from the USA, where he is based, as he looks to not only break the 80m barrier in the men’s javelin for the first time, but also target his father’s Danish record of 81.22m.

While in the women’s discus European U18 and U20 champion, Curly Brown of Germany, will look to break the 60m barrier at just 20-years-old after throwing a PB of 59.06m earlier this month.
