Five World Athletics Continental Tour events will be streamed live through European Athletics channels this week, including mouthwatering throws clashes featuring world gold medallists Daniel Ståhl, Kristjan Čeh and Camryn Rogers, as well as rising Irish star Nicola Tuthill.

Folksam Grand Prix Karlstad (WACT Bronze)

Two giants of the men’s discus go head-to-head, with world champion Daniel Ståhl competing in front of his Swedish fans against European champion and 2022 world champion Kristjan Čeh.
The duo have already met five times this year, with Ståhl beating the Slovenian only once, at the Stockholm Diamond League in June. Even so, Ståhl remains a formidable championship performer with one Olympic title and three world titles, and he will be seeking to wrest the European title from Čeh’s grasp in Birmingham in August.
Vanessa Kamga, who was fifth in the women’s discus final at the Paris Olympics, and European men’s 400m hurdles bronze medallist Carl Bengtström are among the other Swedish stars set to compete.

Meeting Lignano (WACT Bronze)

Italy’s former European indoor men’s shot put gold medallist Zane Weir, South Africa’s 400m world record holder Wayde van Niekerk — racing over 100m this year — and Italian women’s mile record holder Sintayehu Vissa are among the names confirmed.

Ireland’s European U23 silver medallist Nicola Tuthill takes on reigning Olympic and world champion Camryn Rogers of Canada in front of her home supporters in the women’s hammer.
A deep field also includes Norway’s former world U20 champion Beatrice Llano, Great Britain’s 2023 European U23 silver medallist Charlotte Payne and European U23 bronze medallist Valentina Savva of Cyprus.
Sweden’s European indoor silver medallist Wictor Petersson is in the line-up for the men’s shot put, while SPAR European Cross Country Championships U23 champion Nick Griggs races in the men’s mile.

Ireland’s 2023 European U23 champion Sophie O'Sullivan leads a strong international field for the women’s 1500m, which also includes Canadian Olympian Simone Plourde and USA’s Taryn Rawlings.
In the women’s 400m, multiple Irish champion Sophie Becker will clash with Great Britain international Poppy Malik and Bahamian world semi-finalist Printassia Johnson.
British record holder Morgan Lake is entered for the women’s high jump.
