Another busy weekend beckons with four streamed indoor events on the European Athletics website and YouTube channel on the road to the Apeldoorn 2025 European Athletics Indoor Championships from 6-9 March.

This is your one-stop shop for how to follow all of the action from Miramas, Caen, Tallinn and Val-de-Reuil this weekend.

Elite Indoor Track Miramas Meeting, Miramas (World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver)

An excellent 60m hurdles line-up has been assembled for Miramas featuring four of the last five European indoor champions - Switzerland’s Jason Joseph (2023), France’s Wilhem Belocian (2021), Cyprus’ Milan Trajkovic (2017) and France’s Pascal Martinot-Lagarde (2015) - along with Spanish record-holder Enrique Llopis.

There will be a sizeable Spanish presence in Miramas with reigning European indoor 800m champion Adrian Ben and 2022 European outdoor 800m champion Mariano Garcia both stepping up to the 1500m.

Meanwhile, reigning European champion Ana Peleteiro-Compaore takes on leading Cuban exponents Leyanis Perez Hernandez and Liadagmis Povea in a high class triple jump competition which also features European bronze medallist and home favourite Ilionis Guillaume.

Also watch out for reigning European indoor champion Samuele Ceccarelli from Italy in the 60m against Frenchmen Jimmy Vicaut and Jeff Erius.

Perch’Xtrem, Caen (World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver)

Fresh from his victory in Rouen last weekend, Greece's European silver and Olympic bronze medallist Emmanouil Karalis will be aiming for back-to-back victories on French soil. The line-up also features Chris Nilsen from the United States along with former world record-holder Renaud Lavillenie who is due to make his season's debut.

Switzerland's Angelica Moser is the standout name in the women's pole vault competition with world indoor champion Molly Caudery a late withdrawal.

Tallinn 2025 Combined Events (World Athletics World Combined Events Tour Silver)

Norway’s Sander Skotheim will be seeking back-to-back victories in the heptathlon in Tallinn this weekend. The European indoor and outdoor silver medallist won last year with a score of 6281 points.

And there is talk that world U20 heptathlon champion Jana Koscak from Croatia has her sights set on the world U20 pentathlon record of 4542 points which was set by Ukraine’s Alina Shukh at this event in 2017.

The pentathlon line-up also features the brilliant Finn Saga Vanninen, the European U20 and U23 heptathlon champion who graduated to world indoor pentathlon silver last year.

Meeting de l’Eure (World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver)

Fresh from opening his season with a blazing 7.41 clocking in Luxembourg, all eyes will be on Poland’s Jakub Szymanski after he moved to second on the European all-time list in the 60m hurdles.

Fellow Pole Pia Skrzyszowska, the 2022 European 100m hurdles champion, is also due to compete in Val-de-Reuil in the women’s 60m hurdles.

In the middle distances, the vastly improved Spaniard Mohamed Attaoui - who finished fifth in the 800m at the Paris Olympics in 1:42.04 - makes his season’s debut in the men’s 800m while Switzerland’s Audrey Werro faces a field including world U20 champion Sarah Moraa from Kenya in the women’s 800m.

European 5000m silver medallist George Mills lines up in the 3000m while France’s European bronze medallist Agathe Guillemot faces a strong field in the mile which also features Ethiopia’s Birke Haylom.

Field event highlights include the women’s shot put which features reigning two-time European champion Jessica Schilder from the Netherlands against world indoor champion Sarah Mitton from Canada and world outdoor champion Chase Ealey from the United States, all of whom have lifetime bests in excess of 20 metres.

Great Britain’s world outdoor fourth-placer Morgan Lake takes on 2.00m-jumper Lamara Distin from Jamaica in the high jump.
