World 100m hurdles champion Ditaji Kambundji from Switzerland is confirmed for the 60m hurdles at the Meeting Metz Moselle Athlelor, a World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver meeting, on 8 February.
As a precursor to her gold medal-winning exploits in Tokyo, Kambundji blazed to victory in the 60m hurdles at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn in a European record of 7.67, just missing the world record by 0.02.
Kambundji is planning a busy indoor season in the build-up to the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Kujawy Pomorze (Torun) from 20-22 March.
She is also confirmed for the Copernicus Cup in Torun on 22 February where she will face Devynne Charlton, who pipped Kambundji to the world indoor 60m hurdles title in Nanjing last year, and she will face European indoor silver and bronze medallists Nadine Visser and Pia Skrzyszowska at the ISTAF Indoor in Berlin on 6 March.
The meeting record in the 60m hurdles in Metz belongs to Visser at 7.80, a mark which dates back to 2017.
