Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson’s return to indoor racing has been confirmed, with the announcement that she will compete at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais in Liévin on 19 February.
The British athlete has not raced indoors since defending her 800m title at the Istanbul 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships. She endured an injury-curtailed year in 2025, which kept her on the sidelines until August.
However, the twice European gold medallist indoors and outdoors salvaged her summer season by claiming bronze at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
Her appearance in Liévin will mark the third time she has competed at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting. She won there in 2023 in 1:57.71 and placed fourth in 2021 at just 18 years of age.
Confirmation of her appearance in Liévin suggests that Hodgkinson is back to full fitness and has overcome the hamstring issues that plagued her last year.
