Yemaneberhan Crippa has confirmed he will return once more to the European championships, held in Birmingham this summer, but is yet to decide which event he will contest in.
The Italian took gold on home soil in 2024 in the half marathon, and gold in the 10,000m the edition prior in Munich, but is reportedly deciding between the 10,000m or marathon.
If Crippa competes in the 10,000m at Birmingham 2026 European Athletics Championships, it is believed he will then race in a marathon in the autumn.
This year he opened his season with a win in the Naples Half Marathon, storming to 59:01 in February.
He then took a win in the Paris Marathon last weekend with a 2:05.18 clocking, the third fastest time by a European this year for the first marathon win of his career.
