European champion and Olympic bronze medallist Natalia Bukowiecka is one of the standout names on Poland’s team for the 2025 European Athletics Team Championships 1st Division in Madrid from 27-29 June.
Bukowiecka has been named on the Polish team in both the 400m and mixed 4x400m. She is due to face Femke Bol in the 400m, the first time they will have met since the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships in Silesia where Bol won in a championship record of 49.82.
The team also includes recently crowned European indoor champions Jakub Szymanski (110m hurdles) and Anna Wielgosz (800m) as well as 2019 European indoor champion Ewa Swoboda and 2022 European champion Pia Skrzyszowska who took maximum points in the 100m and 100m hurdles respectively in 2023.
World hammer record-holder Anita Wlodarczyk and five-time world champion Pawel Fajdek - who holds the championship record with 82.98m - are also part of the Polish team.
