France has announced a talented team of 30 athletes to compete at next month’s European Off-Road Running Championships in Ljubljana-Kamnik.
The group includes Adeline Martin, who won bronze in the women’s trail race at the last edition of the championships in Annecy in 2024.
The gold medallist on that occasion – Clementine Geoffray – is named as a substitute should any of the selected athletes withdraw ahead of the event on 5-7 June, reflecting the depth of the French team.
Selectors finalised the team following the French Mountain Running Championships in Gap last weekend (1-3 May). The team also includes Theodore Klein who won bronze in the men’s up and down mountain running race in 2024.
France topped the medal table at the Annecy 2024 European Off-Road Championships with 22 medals, including 11 gold.
