2025 world leader Victoria Hudson and European U23 gold medallist Enzo Diessl have been named the Austrian Athletes of the Year, by the national federation.
Hudson set a women’s javelin world lead of 67.76m at the Maribor 2025 European Athletics Team Championships 2nd Division, a mark that was never bettered globally all year.
The defending European champion from Roma 2024 went on to finish tenth at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
21-year-old Diessl enjoyed another year of progress in the men’s 110m hurdles. He won gold at the Bergen 2025 European Athletics U23 Championships and reached the semifinals of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
The winners were decided through a combination of expert votes and an online vote co-ordinated by the Austrian Athletics Federation (ÖLV).
