The summer of live streamed athletics events on European Athletics channels launches with Sunday’s (11) World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meeting in Domažlice, Czechia. 

The throws-only meeting features men's javelin, women's javelin, men's shot put, women's shot put, men's discus and women's discus.

Olympic gold medallist Rohler heads fields

Germany’s 2016 Olympic and 2018 European champion Thomas Rohler heads the men’s javelin field, which also features 2023 European U20 champion Gyorgy Herczeg of Hungary. The home challenge will be led by Jaroslav Jilek. 

The women’s javelin features Norway’s Sigrid Borge, who won silver earlier this year at the European Throwing Cup in Nicosia and former Czech champion Petra Sicakova.

Stanek ready to thrill crowds

Crowd favourite Tomas Stanek of Czechia, a recent bronze medallist at the Apeldoorn 2025 European Indoor Championships is entered for the men’s shot alongside the Republic of Congo’s Franck Elemba, a former African Games gold medallist.  

Iceland’s Erna Soley Gunnarsdottir, who won bronze at the Boras 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships heads the women’s field. 

Dutch record breaker Emanuelson ready to go

The men’s discus field includes Shaquille Emanuelson, who set a new Dutch record of 69.65m in April at the same meeting in Ramona where Mykolas Alekna set a new world record. Nigeria’s Obiageri Pamela Amaechi, 2022 Commonwealth Games bronze medallist heads up the women’s discus entry.
