Olympic marathon champion Sifan Hassan has confirmed her next outing at the classic distance will be in London on 26 April.
The Dutch athlete&rsquo;s participation was announced by London Marathon organisers on Wednesday (28) alongside Ethiopia&rsquo;s Tigst Assefa, who Hassan outsprinted for gold at the Paris Olympics, along with Kenya's Hellen Obiri who won bronze in Paris 2024.
Assefa is the reigning London Marathon women&rsquo;s champion. Kenyan world champion Peres Jepchirchir will also compete in London, making it the first time the celebrated trio will on the same start line since the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Hassan won the 2023 London Marathon on her debut at the distance and has since added victories in Chicago (2023) and Sydney (2025) among the marathon majors.
