  • Spotted on Social | Tamberi POV, Kambundji returns, Hunt in her vlogging era

There have already been some pretty incredible moments on the track during the indoor season, but make sure to keep an eye on your favourite athletes' social media too because many of them are very active right now.

From POV's and throwbacks, to High School Musical and a mother's return, it's all been happening so here's a quick look at some of the notable moments from European athletes on social media in the last week.

POV: You’re a gold medal winning high jumper

Ask a high jumper exactly what they see as they go over the bar, and they probably realise they never gave it much thought. But Gianmarco Tamberi has attached a camera to himself to give us all a look into exactly what he sees!

It’s certainly got us thinking, who can we stick a camera on?

Throwing it back to 2016

Jakob Ingebrigtsen hopped on the trend of sharing photos from 2016 when he was 15-years-old, as we all reminisce on what we were up to 10 years ago.

His images include him running in the national 800m at the Brussels Diamond League, a classic race day kit snap, and him changing a tyre. What a year!

Kambundji’s BACK baby!

After giving birth to her son in November, Mujinga Kambundji is back training and we are so excited!

Her return to the sport after having her son, shows the real strength of women’s bodies, but also her love for athletics. We look forward to seeing her back on the track.

Soundtrack of South Africa – go Wildcats

It seems everyone has been in South Africa for warm weather training during January, but Amy Hunt has been in her vlogging era and given us a glimpse of what camp life is like.

We also got an insight into her training group’s playlist, which includes High School Musical, Santan Dave, Rihanna, and Britney Spears – what a combo!

Rotational throws top tip

Also enjoying some sun is Jorinde van Klinken, who took to Instagram to give some upcoming discus and shot put throwers a top tip that they can practice in their own training.

As a dual thrower herself, she pointed out how pushing into the reverse, rather than jumping into it, can transform your throw.

NBA’s newest fan

After attending an NBA game in Berlin between the Magic and Grizzlies, Malaika Mihambo declared herself an official basketball fan.

This was the league’s first regular season game in Germany, but the 14th game featuring an NBA team in the country since 1984.

Fabbri dropping bombs

As he chases that pesky 23.00 mark down, Leonardo Fabbri has given us some incredible cinematic shots of his sunny training set up.

The Italian may have captioned it ‘summer vibes’, but don’t get too excited as sun is no guarantee in Birmingham for the 2026 European Athletics Championships.
