The Cork City Sports World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meet returns on 8 July, with Irish stars looking to test themselves on the international circuit live on European Athletics' YouTube channel from 5:30pm CEST.

Camryn Rogers, Canada’s Olympic and two-time world champion, is the star of the meet as she leads the women’s hammer line up.

Ireland’s young talent, Nicola Tuthill, will also be competing in the hammer after she threw a new PB of 72.73m at the end of June.

Also amongst those joining them is Norway’s Beatrice Llano, Great Britain’s Charlotte Payne, and Cyprus’ Valentina Savva.

In the men’s long jump America’s Jason Smith leads the standings with a PB of 8.13m but GB’s Archie Yeo and Alex Farquharson are also both eight metre jumpers and could take the win.

While a host of athletes look to use the Cork meeting to break the eight metre barrier, including Portugal’s Marcos Lara and Slovenia’s Dino Subasic.

Italy’s 20-year-old, Aurora Vicini, is in strong form for the women’s high jump having jumped a best of 1.90m this year.

But she’ll face a tough competition that includes Czechia’s Michaela Hruba, Guinea’s Fatoumata Balley, Portugal’s Anabela Neto, and Ireland’s Siun Quinn.

Eric Favors and John Kelly will look to impress the home crowd in the shot put but will be challenged by the line up leader, Sweden’s Wictor Petersson who has thrown 21.38m this year.

On the track Mabel Akande, who took silver at the Tampere 2025 European Athletics U20 Championships, will compete in the 100m after setting a new PB of 11.18 at the British Championships to take the bronze medal.

But she’ll also face compatriot Joy Eze, former European U20 champion and Bergen 2025 European Athletics U23 championships 4x100m gold medallist, who has ran 11.26 this season.

The men’s 100m sees Slovenian national record holder Anej Prapotnik fresh off running a PB of 10.09 to make him the favourite in Cork.

In the 3000m, the Netherlands’ Amina Maatoug leads the field with her PB of 8:45.60 set in January this year, but she’ll be chased by a tight pack including GB’s Izzy Fry and Cari Hughes.

Jackson Sharp, of Australia, leads the men’s 3000m with a PB of 7:36.42 set last year, but will face tough competition from USA’s Derek Johnson, Lithuania’s Simas Bertasius, and Ireland’s Cormac Dalton.

While Sean Aigboboh looks to be the favourite for the men’s 200m as the 20-year-old Irishman set a new PB of 20.27 in April.
