Prior to the European Athletics U23 Championships from 17-20 July which will be streamed in its entirety through the European Athletics website, there will also be live streaming from World Athletics Continental Tour events in Luzern and Liege.

Among the star names in action include world high jump record-holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh from Ukraine who jumps in Liege on Wednesday evening.

Nearly all of the top Swiss stars will be in action on home soil in Luzern including European indoor and outdoor champion Angelica Moser in the pole vault and European 10,000m champion Dominic Lobalu in the 1500m.

European indoor champion Ditaji Kambundji and European outdoor bronze medallist Jason Joseph headline the 100m hurdles and 110m hurdles respectively. Joseph will face combined events star Simon Ehammer and reigning European U20 champion Enzo Diessl in the 110m hurdles.

Reigning world and Olympic champion Haruka Kitaguchi from Japan is also due to compete in the javelin.

Meeting International d’Athletisme de la Province de Liège 2025 - Liege (World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze)

World record-holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh is the star name in action in the high jump in Liege. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Mahuchikh has spent most of the ensuing three years based in the town of Heusden-Zolder, situated to the east of Brussels.

Mahuchikh hasn’t been at her unbeaten best so far this summer but the 23-year-old, who was crowned female European Athlete of the Year at last year’s Golden Tracks award ceremony, returned to winning ways last month with a 2.00m clearance for victory at the European Athletics Team Championships in Madrid.

Multiple major relay medallist and 2018 world U20 champion Jonathan Sacoor has entered the men’s 400m while Lisanne de Witte, who was part of the Dutch gold medal-winning 4x400m team at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, faces top Belgians Helene Ponette and Imke Vervaet in the women’s 400m.

World and European indoor 60m bronze medallist Patrizia Van Der Weken from Luxembourg has also entered the women’s 100m.
