Dromia International Sprint and Relays, Vari, Greece, World Athletics Continental Tour Silver, 5 July 2025 19:00 CEST
Olympic, world and European long jump champion Miltiadis Tentoglou plans to attack the national record of 8.66m at the Dromia International Sprint and Relays in Vari, Greece on Saturday (5).
Held by Louis Tsatoumas since June 2007, it is a mark Tentoglou has long cherished. His personal best is 8.65m set at the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships. He looked back to his best when landing a world leading 8.46m to win at last weekend’s European Athletics Team Championships 1st Division in Madrid.
“My coach and I were looking for a competition in Greece to perform well and when they suggested that we put the long jump in the “Dromeia” we accepted immediately. It has ideal conditions, and I don’t do many competitions in Greece. That’s why I believe it will be a great opportunity to compete in the “Dromeia” and perform well,” said Tentoglou.
