World 1500m medallist Narve Gilje Nordås has been named in the Norway team for the European Running Championships in Brussels-Leuven on 12-13 April.
Nordås, who also placed seventh in the 1500m final at the Paris Olympics, is a versatile distance runner who set a lifetime best of 27:33 over 10km in Valencia in January. It is the 10km distance in which he will compete in Brussels-Leuven 2025.
Also in the seven-strong Norwegian team is Awet Nftalem Kibrab, who will take on the half marathon. Kibrab was eighth over 5km at the World Road Running Championships in Riga, Latvia in 2023.
Entries are still open for the inaugural European Running Championships, where recreational runners will have the opportunity to run with the elite athletes. Limited places are still available across 10km, half marathon and marathon disciplines.
