Four World Athletics Continental Tour Silver and Bronze events will be streamed this week with fast times in the sprints expected in Geneva on Saturday.

COSMA Cup - Kaunas (World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze)

  • When: 18 June
  • Live streaming on the European Athletics website from 6.00pm CEST (geoblocked in Lithuania)

The highlight of the COSMA Cup will be the men’s discus featuring reigning champion Daniel Stahl from Sweden against home favourite and former world champion Andrius Gudzius as well as Martynas Alekna, the older brother of world record-holder Mykolas.

Other leading Lithuanian athletes who are due to compete include Liveta Jasiunaite (javelin), Diana Zagainova (triple jump), Modesta Morauskaite (400m) and Simas Bertasius (1500m).

Former European champion Adam Gemili is also due to race in the 200m.

Liese Prokop Memorial - St. Polten (World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze)

Reigning European javelin champion Victoria Hudson and European discus silver medallist Lukas Weisshaidinger are two of the big local draws at the Liese Prokop Memorial, a meeting named in honour of the 1968 Olympic pentathlon silver medallist.

Reigning European U20 champion Enzo Diessl will also be looking for a home victory in the 110m hurdles and Austrian teammate Karin Strametz faces a strong field in the 100m hurdles including Croatia’s Mia Wild, the world U20 bronze medallist.

Atletica Geneva - Geneva (World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze)

Sprints will take centre stage at the Atletica Geneva on Saturday.

European 200m champion Timothé Mumenthaler has entered the 100m and 200m while the women’s 100m field features 42-year-old Lorene Bazolo from Portugal who has clocked 11.10 (100m) and 22.71 (200m) this year and 17-year-old Swiss sprinter Xenia Buri who has clocked 7.21 for 60m and 11.32 for 100m. 

A strong men’s 400m line-up has also been assembled including leading Dutch sprinters Jonas Phijffers, Eugene Omalla and Isaya Klein Ikkink and top Swiss athletes Lionel Spitz and Ricky Petrucciani, the 2021 European U23 champion.  

World and European indoor long jump silver medallist Annik Kalin has entered both the long jump and 100m hurdles. 

Meeting International d'Athlétisme de Troyes Aube - Troyes (World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze)
